Chrome extensions add useful features to enhance web browsing. Imagine using Chrome extensions on your Android device. Yes, it is possible.

Although Google Chrome for Android doesn’t support extensions, but there are some Android browser that supports extensions.

In this article, I’ve tested several Android browsers and ranked the top five web browsers for Android with extensions support in 2025.

1. Kiwi browser

Kiwi Browser for Android extensions

Kiwi browser is one of the most popular Android browsers supporting Chrome extensions. It is an open-source Chromium-based Android browser that allows users to install and use extensions from the Chrome Web Store.

To use extensions in the Kiwi browser, launch the app, go to the Chrome Web Store, and search for the extension you want. Once found, open the extension page and tap on the “Add to Chrome” button. Your extension will now be installed you’ll be able to use it. Furthermore, you can enable the extension Developer Mode and manually load extensions through ‘.crx’ or unzipped files.

Note: Some Google Chrome Web Store extensions may not work properly as they’re not optimized for mobile at all.

2. Lemur browser

Lemur Browser Android with extensions

Lemur is a lesser-known but one of the best options for supporting extensions on Android. The browser is based on Chromium which allows users to use Chrome Web Store extensions. It has an extension management option where users can enable or disable extensions. It’s the only mobile browser to support extensions from both the Chrome Web Store and Edge extension store. The best part is that it comes with “Developer Mode” which allows you to install Chrome extensions manually.

To use Lemur browser extensions, open the app, tap on the hamburger menu at the bottom, and tap on the Desktop Mode option to turn it on. Once turned on, tap the app drawer icon at the bottom, and select “Chrome Web Store” or “Edge Store” in the Extension Stores section. Next, look for the extension you want to use and tap the “Add to Chrome” button in Chrome Web Store or tap on the “Get” if you’re on Edge Store.

3. Firefox

Firefox Android browser with extensions

Firefox is the first main-stream browser to officially support extensions on mobile. Users can access a built-in add-on store packed with a variety of powerful browser extensions. This makes it the best browser for Android with the most optimized extension. Users can also use the extensions in private tabs.

To start, launch the Firefox browser on your Android device. Tap on the menu icon (three vertical dots) located in the top-right corner of the screen. From the menu, select the “Extensions” option. Next, search for your desired extension, and once found, tap on it to view details. Now, hit the ‘+‘ (plus) button, followed by the “Add” option in the popup screen to install it.

4. Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge browser with extensions on Android

Microsoft Edge recently added support for installing web extensions in the Android version. Edge Extensions is a beta program that allows you to select a variety of essential extensions from the built-in extension store, including Adblocker, Dark Reader, uBlock Origin, and Global Speed. Regardless, if you, like me, are concerned about your privacy, the Microsoft Edge mobile browser should be your first choice.

To install extensions in Microsoft Edge mobile, open the app on your smartphone, tap the hamburger menu in the bottom right corner, and then select the “Extensions” menu item. Find your desired extension and click the Get button next to the name. The extension will now be automatically installed and activated on the Edge browser.

5. Samsung Internet

Samsung Internet browser extensions on Android

Last but not least, Samsung Internet is one of the most secure Android browsers that allows extensions. While it lacks the vast library of extensions found in other browsers, it does have a few useful add-ons such as ad blockers, discounts, dark mode, translators, image search, and so on. Because I am extremely security conscious, I prefer and have been using it for the past two years.

To use add-ons on Samsung Internet, open the app on your Android device, tap the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines), and then select “Add-ons“. You will be redirected to the Add-ons page, which lists all of the extensions. Look for the extension you want to use and once found, tap on the download icon next to it or tap on the extension to view and hit the “Install” button.
